Safeguarding

We want you to feel safe in Church.

Church is somewhere where you can be yourself and know that you are accepted and loved. Sometimes things can happen either in Church, or elsewhere that can leave you feeling angry, confused or unsafe. If that has happened to you, you might want to talk about it with someone who will take what you say seriously and help you decide what to do next. At St Matthews you can talk to one of the clergy, or to our Safeguarding officer Sharon Mortor. You may prefer to talk to someone else and you can get information on this on the Diocesan Safeguarding webpages including the safeguarding advisor's contact details.
