Children's Church
Children are a vital part of any worshipping community but have their own needs and ways of learning. Children's Church aims to give a balance between sharing and worshipping together with the older members of the church and learning about God through play, activities and fun.
The group meets each week in the parish room and is lead by volunteer teams of adults, who have a special interest in the development of young people (and who enjoy playing!).
Once a month normally the first Sunday of the month, Children's Church joins together with the rest of the congregation to "praise God together". An all age, child-friendly service, it is shorter than the normal service and includes more child centred talks and prayers.
We would we glad to welcolme you on Sunday mornings at 10:30am at St. Matthew's Church.

Other Information for Parents
Children are very welcome to all our services and we want you and them to feel welcome. Please do not worry if your child cries or wants to play. I am sure you will be more conscious of any noise far more than the person in the pew in front or behind. However, if you do want to walk around or go somewhere quiet, then feel free to use the rooms upstairs or use the room at the back of the church.
You will also find baby changing facilities and a potty in the disabled toilets.
We remember that children are not only the church of tomorrow but are part of our church today.
Please note: All of our Children's Church leaders are CRB checked before being allowed to lead the group.
